Official sources did not publish a fixed roster refresh interval, a historical mugshot archive, or a precise rule for how long a photo stays visible after release. That means the current roster is the first stop, recent releases are the short-term fallback, and the sheriff's public-records process is the route for a booking photo that is not online.

Where to Find Marion County Booking Photos
For a current detainee, open the MyR2M current roster linked from the sheriff site and review the inmate card. For a very recent arrest, check the New Inmates tab. If the person was released or disappeared from the current list, check Recent Releases and the sheriff's 48-hour release path. If the image is not online, the sheriff FAQ says jail booking records may be public under Arkansas FOIA subject to exceptions.

What a Marion County Booking Photo Shows

Are Marion County Jail Mugshots Public Record?

How Long a Mugshot Stays on the Roster
Official Marion County sources did not publish a fixed retention period for roster photos or a public historical mugshot archive. The available official clues are narrower: the current roster shows current inmate cards, the New Inmates tab supports recent bookings, and the Recent Releases / 48-hour release path supports short-term release checks. Do not assume a photo remains public for a specific number of hours unless the jail confirms it.
What is and isn't public: The public roster can show a booking photo, name, race/sex/age, address or city/state, arrest date, arresting agency, charges, bond, and court date. It does not show full date of birth, Social Security number, medical information, housing cell, full court file, or every restricted record. Non-roster copies must be requested through the sheriff and may be withheld or redacted if an exemption applies.
How to Request a Marion County Booking Photo

Mugshot Removal and Sealed Records
Arkansas Act 450 of 2021, codified at Ark. Code ยง 4-75-102, addresses private booking-photo websites that solicit or accept payment to remove or revise a booking photograph. It requires no-cost removal within five business days after a written request containing identifying details such as name, date of birth, arrest date, and arresting agency. That law is different from an official sheriff roster rule and should not be read as a promise that Marion County removes an official roster photo after every dismissal or acquittal.
If a court seals an eligible arrest or criminal record, the sheriff FAQ recognizes sealed or expunged court records as an exception to ordinary disclosure. The records-clearing issue belongs with the court and ACIC sealing process, not a commercial removal service. Federal and State Booking Photos
Federal and state custody systems are different from the Marion County jail roster. The Arkansas DOC locator can show a sentenced inmate photo and a much deeper state profile after a person moves into DOC custody or a Marion-related DOC status. The BOP locator covers federal sentenced inmates from 1982 to present, but it is not a county jail mugshot gallery. ICE ODLS locates certain immigration detainees, and the U.S. Marshals may be involved in federal pretrial, fugitive, or transport custody, but neither is a Marion County roster photo source.
