Marion County Jail Roster Overview
The Marion County Sheriff's Office, led by Sheriff Gregg L. Alexander, links its official roster landing page to a vendor-hosted RPS/MyR2M roster for the Marion County Detention Center. The public roster is free and does not require a login. It separates records into Current Inmates, New Inmates, and Recent Releases, with controls for sorting, page size, name-jump selection, and pagination. At the research inspection, the current roster showed 10 inmates out of 38 total with 10 as the default page size.
The roster is not the full criminal case file and the sheriff's disclaimer says the detention center cannot certify the accuracy or authenticity of posted information. The county roster covers local jail custody, including pretrial detainees, county-sentence inmates, and some people waiting for Arkansas Department of Corrections transport. Sentenced state prisoners belong in the Arkansas DOC inmate locator, federal sentenced prisoners in the BOP locator, and immigration detainees in ICE ODLS.
The officially linked current roster shows why the interface is browse-first rather than a simple last-name form.
Use the tab, sort, page-size, and Select Name controls before assuming a person is not in Marion County custody.
How to Use the Marion County Inmate Roster

What a Marion County Inmate Profile Shows
Marion County roster entries are compact booking cards. They identify the booking and next court path, but they do not replace the official court file held by the Circuit Clerk, District Court, or Search ARCourts.

Booking Process in Marion County
The sheriff's detention page states that all persons arrested and taken into custody are transported to the Marion County Detention Center for booking and incarceration. The public sequence is arrest, transport, intake, booking photo, roster entry, classification, bond or court scheduling where applicable, and then release, continued local custody, or transfer to Arkansas DOC.
Official sources do not publish a fixed roster refresh interval or a fixed first-appearance timetable for every arrest. The jail does publish public cards with arrest date/time, charges, bond, and court dates where available. Sheriff press releases show that serious arrests may be held pending initial appearance in Marion County Circuit Court, and some warrant cases may have a bond set by court or be no-bond until a judge appears.
Visitation Hours and Rules
Marion County visitation is tied to housing cell group. Visitors must call ahead because visitation can change for overlap, unforeseen events, or a 23/1 lockdown. Each inmate receives 15 total minutes per visitation day, not 15 minutes per visitor. Valid photo ID is required, visitors are subject to ACIC/NCIC checks, and a visitor with a felony conviction is barred unless the person is immediate family as defined by the jail.

How to Contact a Marion County Inmate
Regular inmate mail changed on March 1, 2024. Non-legal mail must be addressed to the inmate by name and inmate number at Marion County Detention Center, P.O. Box 591, Longview, TX 75606, where it is scanned electronically and the physical mailing is destroyed after processing. Legal and medical mail must go to Marion County Detention Center, P.O. Box 366, Yellville, AR 72687, not the Texas scanning address.
NCIC messaging is available through the official mail-policy channel at $0.25 per message and $0.35 per picture or document message. Inmates have outgoing phone access, and calls are billed to the person receiving the call through a correctional billing company. The detention page also says remote video visitation is available, but the setup details should be confirmed with the jail.
Commissary and Inmate Funds
Commissary money can be added at the sheriff's office or online through the TigerSnack/Tiger Commissary service linked from the official sheriff page. The official Marion County detention page did not publish a full deposit fee table or deposit limit schedule. Phone-call rates beyond the correctional billing arrangement were also not published in the sheriff source.
